Stillness Sessions (Biodynamic Craniosacral + Stillness Touch) are a blend of deeply meditative and restorative healing modalities that attune to the natural healing forces available to us. By engaging the parasympathetic nervous system, these sessions promote synthesis and coherence for the whole body - including but not limited to the muscles, fascia, nerves, organs, cells, subtle bodies, emotional and embryological programming. Building resilience in the nervous system, they strengthen natural equilibrium; transmuting pain, tension, stuck energies and blockages. This work, in essence, is about allowing the body to find deep rest, re-membrance and nourishment amidst a busy, loud and over-stimulated world.

Bio: Since 2011 Koa has been immersed in the study of craniosacral biodynamics. She was led to it during her own healing crisis and journey, and continues to evolve within her continual learning and embodiment. Her studies have led her to apprentice and assist with multiple teachers in the US and South America. She maintains her private practice in West Marin, while traveling to offer sessions at healing studios and intentional retreats. In 2016 she became a Certified Practitioner through the Dynamic Stillness School, a branch of biodynamic practice that originated from William Sutherland's cranial osteopathy. Currently she is an assistant to the Dynamic Stillness School's yearlong Mentor Course in Berkeley.

What to expect: Sessions begin with a meditation and an invitation to rest in the heart of stillness. Gentle holds and contacts are made as we allow Primary Respiration to guide the flow of the session. Deep unwinding and resettling occurs by listening to the fluid body, cerebral spinal fluid and fluid tides that infuse the body. Multiple levels of consciousness can be accessed through this work - visionary experiences and insights are common.

Appointments are scheduled for 1 hour, 90 minutes, or 2 hours. For newcomers, a series of sessions is recommended as they build upon one another; as the body retrains and remembers to down-regulate the nervous system and to incorporate its own healing.
